ABOUT CHEF CONFIT

Chef Confit was born during a cooking workshop. Preparing the perfect steak is easy when instructed and supervised closely by a chef. However, doing so at home can be tricky. What if there was a way to prepare meat that always turns out perfectly?

The solution is Chef Confit. Our meats are slowly cooked at low temperatures in fat or beer, resulting in tender meats and rich flavours. Chef Confit allows you to prepare a restaurant-quality dish in a few minutes. Whether you’re cooking for two or a party of 25, as a professional chef or a kitchen novice, we guarantee minimal effort and maximal results. Chef Confit can be served straight from the pan, but it can also be used in sumptuous salads, delicious wraps, Dutch “stamppot”, hearty soups, and comfort food.

Chef Confit is the kitchen staple for every multitasking chef, whether professional or novice, and our dishes can be served on every occasion.

Meat of the highest quality deserves to be prepared with the utmost care and love. Chef Confit helps you serve professional dishes without the hassle. At this moment, we have three dishes: Chicken Thighs slow-cooked in their fat, Procureur (pork neck) slow-cooked in its fat, and Pork Cheeks simmered in dark beer from local Dutch beer brewery De Leckere.

FAQ

The products of Chef Confit are now available in our webshop per tray of 6 cans.

They are also available per can at the Dutch and Belgium Sligro’s, at the ‘Slagerij Kaldenberg’ department, from April 11 2022.

Every can of Chef Confit contains marinated slow-cooked meat of the highest quality.

Our products do not contain:
– E-numbers
– Taste enhancing substances
– Added sugars
– Conservatives

Ingredients chicken thighs: marinated chicken thigh from Dutch origin (without the bone), lemon oil, rosemary. Consumable for celiac patients and people with lactose intolerance.

Ingredients pork neck: marinated pork neck from Dutch origin (without bone), pork fat. Consumable for celiac patients and people with lactose intolerance.

Ingredients pork cheeks: marinated pork cheek from Dutch origin, De Leckere Volmondige (dark beer). Consumable for people with lactose intolerance.

Chef Confit is incredibly effortless in its preparations. On every can we’ve printed short instructions for your convenience.

Our Chicken Thighs

To prepare our Chicken Thighs, open the can and heat a bit of the fat in a pan. If necessary, remove excess fat from the thighs. Then, heat the chicken skin-side down in the pan until crisp (about 6 minutes). The remaining fat can be used to prepare potatoes or meat. Click here for a cooking video (soon subtitled in Dutch).
In addition, you can simply put the cans in a campfire or on the barbecue.

Our Procureur (pork neck)

To prepare our Procureur, open the can and heat a bit of the fat in a pan. Divide the meat into two to three trenches and remove excess fat if necessary. Pan-fry the trenches until they are crisp and golden on both sides. Only flip the meat or move in the pan once it no longer sticks to the pan. It should be ready in about 6 minutes. Our Pork Cheeks

To prepare our Pork Cheeks, open the can and heat the full content in a frying pan over low heat. Heat this thoroughly and reduce the sauce to a glaze. Flip the meat and spoon the sauce over it from time to time for the optimal result. It should be ready in about 6 minutes. Click here for a cooking video (soon subtitled in Dutch).
